The Huntsville school board on Thursday night approved construction
contracts designed to continue forward with the district's capital plan.
Two
of those contracts involved closing off portions of Butler and Johnson
high schools, both of which are too large for the number of students
they serve. Johnson High is slated to be rebuilt in a new location at 4090 Pulaski Pike, with a tentative opening date of August 2016.
